Day 3 -Thursday September 22 our Summit centers on the theme of REIMAGINE and will address the challenges that we can take to reduce the destructive power of wildfire in the future, and how we may improve our resilience to disasters. We selected the panelists for their leadership and experience in this domain.
Topics Covered in this Panel:
This panel brings together tech entrepreneurs and local leaders who have developed new approaches to problems caused by wildfire disasters. From early warning systems, to using high tech solutions at the for local emergency management operations, to streamlining the complex and tedious work in accessing government benefit programs, these folks are developing and using new information management tools to streamline just in time communications and deployment of resources. Not only saving time, but potentially saving lives and making the work more accessible, more equitable, and less cumbersome.
Moderator Chisato Calvert, who is a leader in innovative tech solutions herself, asks them ....
How is the availability or accessibility of data enabling your organization to support communities impacted by wildfires?
What does success look like for your organization/company? What are you working toward?
What are some of the biggest challenges your organization faces in reaching impacted communities?
How does your organization both receive and integrate feedback from impacted communities to continually improve and innovate your product or service?
What are some key partnerships that you’ve formed as a company/organization (or partnerships that you’re currently exploring) that have helped amplify and scale your impact?
What is a key learning or take away from participating in the Wildfire Leadership Summit? How does this affect the way you see your work now and into the future?
