Day 1 -Tuesday September 20 our Summit centers on the theme of RECOVER and will address the challenges that wildfire survivor communities experience directly as they recover.
The panel discussion highlights the work of experts in the field of practicing and teaching indigenous land care practices. The panel explores how whole communities might center the perspectives of indigenous peoples in these first stages as well as the long term recovery of the people, land and ecosystems.
Topics Covered:
What does it mean to you to ‘center indigenous practices’ in the local recovery? What are the underlying truths that would anchor this work? And how would that create a more resilient environment? What would be the community wide impact? What is required for everyone to do this work? Share examples from your own work.
